Bianca Jakovac (Customer) asked a question.
This new integration causes so much additional work by having to click on the accounting button and wait for the new window to open. Checking a balance on a Trust card also takes so much longer then before. From an admin perspective, it took me twice as long to transfer costs and archive files today due to this additional unnecessary step. Can it be reverted to the way it was please. We are time poor enough as it is, this does not make life easier!!!!

I agree. This has been an unnecessary addition. it is too time consuming. it needs to go.
I also agree. It is far more efficient to have all tabs on the matter card as it was prior to the update.
Agreed. It's not an improvement, it's a backwards step - so why would LEAP have done it?
I agree! They are making it worse.
Hi Bianca,
Thank you for your feedback. It is not possible to revert to a previous version LEAP as this can cause instability on your device and within LEAP. To support a smoother workflow, we have introduced the following options:
- Set LEAP Accounting as Default
You can configure the Matter List to open directly in LEAP Accounting by default. To do this, click the three dots in the top-right corner of the Matter List, hover over ‘On Double Click’, and select ‘Open LEAP Accounting’. This setting helps to reduce clicks and streamline navigation.
- Open LEAP Accounting for Specific Matters
Alternatively, without changing the default, you can right-click on a matter in the list and select ‘Open in LEAP Accounting’. This is useful for tasks like recording a cost recovery, allowing quick access with fewer steps.
Kind regards,
Sophia
Hi Sophia,
Thanks for your reply. I was not asking whether I could revert back to a previous version of leap, I was simply stating that this new update is not sustainable and creates unnecessary steps when we are time poor enough as it is. It is merely feedback to pass onto your development team that this new update is not well received by what appears to be quite a few users including the staff in my office. Your workaround does not remove the additional steps whilst working in a matter. It just adds too many steps - checking a Trust balance used to be a click of a button and now the system lag plus the additional steps just takes too long. We should be given the option to select whether we would like the Accounting component bundled into one or feedback from the wider community should have been obtained prior to making this change. Can the Trust button not be reverted back to the main screen in the next update? Surely this can be implemented.
Thanks
Bianca

Thanks Bianca. I have passed on your feedback to implement an option to have accounting bundled, or move the trust tab back to the Producitivity menu.
Hi Sophia,
I have been following the feedback from other Leap users and have to agree with their comments. The extra steps needed to be taken to get into the accounting side of a matter is so time consuming and unnecessary. There was nothing wrong with the previous set up and I do not know why this could be seen as introducing a smoother workflow. I sincerely hope that the Leap team who manages these upgrades will take its customers feedback into consideration and reverse this unnecessary step. Thank you
Kind Regards
