Opening emails from a matter

When I try to open an email from one of our matters, it appears to automatically try to open it up in Adobe and not in Outlook. I have not had this problem in the past and it seems to have arisen since the update. Is there something that I can do to correct it. It is really frustrating as it means that I have to go the long way around to access emails (that is, trawling through the Inbound and Outbound emails. Please help.

 

This is the message I get when I open an email. Please note that it is the actual email that I open and not the attachment. OI have no problem opening attachments to email.

    Hi Nikki,

    It looks like the default app for opening emails may have been changed for some reason. You can see what application is used by default for each file type by clicking the Windows icon in the bottom toolbar of your screen, and typing 'Default Apps'. You should then locate Outlook, and ensure it is set as the default app for .msg files as well as .eml files. Based on your screenshot, is a .msg file that is being opened in Adobe.
