Ted Vlahos (Customer) asked a question.
The task feature in Leap (with ability to assign precedent documents to a task) and integration with Outlook is excellent.
However, the current limitation of only being able to have one owner of a task at any given time makes the use of tasks (including precedent tasks created for certain matter types through the application settings) almost useless when multiple operators work on the same file.
Assigning a task means the original owner of the talk loses the ability to complete or edit the task. The workflow app is not a good solution as it doesn't integrate with Outlook and, more importantly, doesn't allow tasks to be set based on critical dates saved in leap.
Is there an update on the cards? It would make a critical difference.

Hi Ted,
Thanks for your feedback.
We are currently working on making the functionality to be able to have multiple staff members working on the same task a reality. We do not yet have a timeframe for release, but once this function is available, we will update you and the rest of our client base.
Kind Regards,
Simon
hi, it looks like the latest leap update has possibly resolved this issue? is that right?
Has this been addressed in the recent update? This is an issue for us also
I'm also eager to know if this functionality has now been added and, if so, how to use it.
Could you please advise whether this this function has been added?
It has been a year since i first raised this issue. Any update?
Hi Ted,
Although it is not possible to have multiple owners of the same Task, we now have a feature that enables users to change and edit tasks that belong to other users. This is a relatively new feature, and thus is not currently available to all firms.
For more information on this, and to have this feature enabled for your firm, please reach out to our HelpDesk in order to discuss the 365 Outlook Integration which will enable you to have users edit one another's tasks and appointments. You can contact HelpDesk at support@leap.com.au.
Thanks,
Simon
Still waiting for this feature to be added.
This feature is an essential and we have quite a problem when only one calendar and one task depending on the login can be dealt with? Maybe LEAP your teams integration can fix this?
We are also finding this a problem as we have a group of three all working on the same files. Any solutions to this yet LEAP?
