While LEAP and MYOB or Xero are two separate systems, it is very important that you regularly check that the two systems balance as MYOB and Xero hold 'Control Accounts' for debtors, disbursements and other important nominal ledgers.

We recommend that you regularly, particularly at a month end, compare your Matter Balances with the MYOB Trial Balance or Xero Trial Balance as follows:

Debtors - Credits. This should equal the balance held in the LEAP Debtors figure in MYOB or Xero.
Disbursements (Outlays). This is the difference between the LEAP Office Payments and LEAP Payments Received ledgers in MYOB or Xero.

If you find any imbalances, please run through the following checks before contacting LEAP Support:

Ensure all journals have been exported to MYOB or Xero from LEAP.
Check for any manual postings into the nominal ledger in MYOB or Xero.

Once you have checked that all journals have been exported, and there has been no manual posting into the nominal ledger, then contact LEAP Support who will investigate the issue further. If your journals do not export and you cannot resolve this, please contact LEAP Support.

Missing Journals in Xero / MYOB

If you notice that journals are missing in Xero or MYOB, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Confirm that the journal entry has an "Upload" status on LEAP's General Ledger Link page in your default browser.
If the journals have been exported from LEAP but are not appearing in Xero/MYOB,ensure you're connected to the correct Xero/MYOB account.
Confirm the account codes in LEAP match those in Xero. Go to LEAP Menu > Settings > Application Settings > General Ledger > General Ledger (Xero), and verify that the codes are correct.

If the issue persists, please contact Xero / MYOB support for further assistance.

Only Office Account transactions are synced to Xero / MYOB. Trust Accounts transactions and journals are not synced or exported to MYOB through the LEAP integration.
