Learn how to integrate MYOB AccountRight with LEAP by following our guide below.

Before you can use MYOB AccountRight with LEAP, you’ll first need to have your MYOB account up and running. You’ll then need to set up the chart of accounts in both MYOB AccountRight and LEAP.

Add GL Account Codes to MYOB AccountRight

Open MYOB AccountRight and log into your account.
Click Lists > Accounts from the MYOB menu bar.

Click New and create the following accounts:

Add GL Account Codes to LEAP

Desktop: Click the LEAP Menu > Settings > Application Settings.

The LEAP Application Settings will open in a new window.

Web: Click > Settings > Application Settings.

The LEAP Application Settings will open in a new window.

Click Accounting > General Ledger > Account Codes.
Enter the GL Account Codes you created in MYOB.
Click Save.

Set Your Accounting Basis

When LEAP is configured by one of our consultants, they will set your accounting basis as you require. If you wish to change your accounting basis, you’ll need to contact the Implementations Team at implementations@leap.com.au, as any changes to the accounting basis are password protected.

Verify Tax Codes

After your accounting basis has been set up, the relevant tax codes will be automatically imported into LEAP. To check or make any changes to the tax codes.

Desktop: Click the LEAP Menu > Settings > Application Settings.

The LEAP Application Settings will open in a new window.

Web: Click > Settings > Application Settings.

The LEAP Application Settings will open in a new window.

Click Accounting > General Ledger > Tax Codes.

The appropriate tax codes for your selected accounting basis are displayed. It’s a good idea at this point to check that the default tax codes have been selected in the Defaults section. To check your default tax codes:

Click Defaults tab.
You’ll notice that the tax codes are already pre-filled.
Select a different tax code from the drop-downs if required.

Authorise LEAP to Access MYOB

The final step in setting up MYOB and LEAP is to authorise LEAP access to MYOB.

Desktop: Click the LEAP Menu > Accounting > under Office Accounting > General Ledger Link.

The LEAP General Ledger will open in a new window.

Web: Click > Accounting > Office > General Ledger.

The LEAP General Ledger will open in a new window.

Click Sync Now.

The MYOB login page will open in your default browser.
Enter your MYOB login details to sign in and click Next.

As part of the login process, you'll also need to enter your Administrator Username and Password and select the relevant company data file.

- Username: Administrator
- Password: (leave blank)

Click Submit.
Once you’ve completed all the above steps, you’ll be able to start syncing your journals from LEAP to MYOB.
You can enable the Auto Export / Auto Sync feature by following the steps below:
1. Click LEAP Menu > Settings > Application Settings.
  
  The LEAP Application Settings will open in a new window.
2. Navigate to Accounting > General.
3. Tick the General Ledger Auto Export checkbox and click Save
4. Click the LEAP Menu > Accounting > Office Accounting > General Ledger Link.
  The LEAP General Ledger Link will open in a new browser window.
5. In the General Ledger Link window, toggle Auto Sync ON. If Auto Sync doesn’t turn on successfully, you may need to close your browser, sign out of LEAP, and sign back in. Once you return to the LEAP General Ledger Link window, Auto Sync should now be enabled.
6. If Auto Sync still fails, click the Sync Now button at the bottom of the window which should direct you to your connected Accounting Platform.
  If prompted, log into your Accounting account to authorise the connection with LEAP’s General Ledger Link.
