Is there a way to customize the "print" for the trust ledger on a matter?

For example, I wanted a printout of the trust ledger on matter for a specific time period, say the last six months, but I was unable to find a way to do it and ended up printing the entire trust ledger. I know that when the ledger pops up into an Adobe document you have the choice to print the relevant pages, but I wanted the printout to specifically show the time period - that is, client, matter, trust account for the matter, date from and date to. It would be great if Leap did have more fields in its reports to allow for that.

 

I am aware that there is something called 'RedLine" which offers customization of reports, ledgers etc. However, we do not want to have to subscribe to yet another software tool to get a simple thing done. Sorry if that sounds terse etc.

    Hi Nikki,

     

    Thank you for your question. LEAP’s Trust Ledgers and Trust Statements are based on an 'as at' date, which means they displays all trust transactions recorded up to the date of printing. It is not possible to generate the report for a custom time period.

     

    You can access these reports in two ways:

    • By clicking the print icon within the Trust Funds tab of the relevant matter. Clicking the arrow next to print will allow you to print either a trust ledger report or a trust statement.
    • By navigating to LEAP Reports and selecting the Trust Ledger Report or the Trust Statement Report.
