Have you updated your Leap? We are hesitant to do it as we had issues with the last one.
Yes I have updated mine today. So far so good. Unfortunately we have no choice.
Thank you
Don't do it.
I updated nearly two weeks ago and I have not been able to open any Word documents (including new precedents) in LEAP since.
LEAP technical service after doing a lot of checks, re-installs etc. recommended I download all my documents out of LEAP so that I can use them. This of course means they do not update and can not use any LEAP fields making precedents useless. Not to mention I now have two repositories of document storage (in and out of LEAP) which could continue to be an issue for years.
Because I cannot open new Word documents (precedents) in LEAP, to use a precedent, I need to copy from another matter and manually update, dangerous and time consuming.
It is a nightmare and LEAP have gone silent on any fix for me.
Many thanks for you comments Jamie.
Quick update.
Maybe because of this post, LEAP technical sevice called again today and rolled me back to an earlier version. I am not to update until they remove the issues that a number of people have been having with the latest version and communicate out to us that the issues are resolved (their words, not mine).
I think this may answer your question.
Now that I am on a previous version of LEAP, Word documents can again be opened in LEAP.
Jamie it looks like some good has come out of making your comment. Once again thanks for your comments on the issue.
I am in the new version, and for some reason, when you go to send an email from LEAP, a large chunk of the contacts are missing. In particular- the solicitor for the other side is missing in every single matter, forcing us to have to open the card in order to copy and paste the email. It's pretty poor and very disappointing that LEAP has not rectified this. It is a known problem which is affecting a lot of different firms.
