Can we link or hyperlink to a document that has been saved in LEAP?

Joanne Murphy (Customer) asked a question.

Can we link or hyperlink to a document that has been saved in LEAP?

I know that the short answer to this question is "No, not really". The longer answer is probably "Yes, but only if the document you are linking to is saved in the LEAP folder in your C: drive, and as this is only a temporary storage location, the link will eventually expire".

We use simple tables in Word to track correspondence: to make sure replies have come in to our corro, or to check we have replied to letters/ emails. We also use it to quickly summarise the state of a matter, eg keep tabs on offers or negotiations.

We would like to be able to quickly link to emails & letters stored in LEAP that are referenced in these tables. It seems there isn't such a functionality. Are there other apps that do this, or integrations with LEAP I should use? Or are there workarounds in the Office universe that don't involve a whole world of duplication, eg saving all the relevant documents to a file in Teams or OneDrive or OneNote? Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

Just adding to this question as we would also find the suggested linking function useful.

I was also searching to see if it was possible to link a document between two matters, so that it can be opened and viewed or edited from either matter. For related party matters this would save a lot of duplication and save the need to remember which matter the document is saved in. Inserting a link in the second matter to the document stored in the first matter would be a handy feature.
