The new version of Leap Desktop, 2.4.292.0 or later will not work on non-English operating systems.

Chao Deng (Customer) asked a question.

The new version of Leap Desktop, 2.4.292.0 or later will not work on non-English operating systems.

Recently upgraded my Leap desktop to the May/June version (2.4.294.0), and it shows an alert "This application requires the system default language to be English" and will not open. Uninstalled, tried 2.4.292.0 and 2.4.292.1, all have the same problem.

My computer was acquired in China with Windows 11 and its default system language is Chinese so that we can better serve clients from that region. Did not have any issues with the older version 2.3.135.0.

    Hi Chao,

As within our System Requirements, LEAP does require the default Region & Language to be set to English (Australia).

There may be situations where your LEAP does work with different settings, but the software is built to work within the parameters set out in our System Requirements (available here).

If you have any questions, you can ask our helpdesk at support@leap.com.au or via the LiveChat.

    Thanks,

    Simon
