Damian Quinn (Customer) asked a question.
Opened a file in word - did some work on it and then saved it. Tried to close file but then Word would not respond on this or 2 other files. Had to use task manager to shut word. This has been a recurrent problem, both when using a PC in the office and working remotely.
The file came back when I restarted word and I used One Drive to save file while working on it.
Went to delete the document in leap. Leap says the document still open - despite word having been ended with task manager. Had to close matter in leap (interestingly did not say there were two files still open) and then re-open matter.
End result is time wasted and loss of work. It seems when working on a big document it is safer and avoids stress if you have the file in one drive (with auto-save) and when finished with the document save it into leap. Leap just can't be relied upon.

Hi Damian,
Sorry to hear of the issue you're having.
Our development team has been working on a way to utilise Word's AutoRecovery function within LEAP and we should be seeing this in the coming months when we release a new version.
I would also suggest that you contact our HelpDesk at support@leap.com.au or via the LiveChat to investigate if you are having ongoing issues.
Kind Regards,
Simon
It doesn't matter what size the document is this is issue continues to happen on a daily basis. My opinion is that when you sign up for leap you sign up for support instead of being able to do your own job without interruption. Every time we create a document and it is ready to email to a client or other party we have to restart our computer so that the document syncs with the online server and can be attached to the email. How's that for time efficiency?
Hi Bianca,
It sounds like you may be experiencing a different issue with syncing with the servers which our Development team has been aware of as an issue with Microsoft.
Microsoft have resolved this issue with their most recent patch release.
If you - or your IT support - can install this release for all affected users, you should see this issue resolved: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/march-21-2023-kb5023773-os-builds-19042-2788-19044-2788-and-19045-2788-preview-5850ac11-dd43-4550-89ec-9e63353fef23
If still experiencing the issue, let our HelpDesk support know and they will have our Developers speak with Microsoft about this further.
Thanks,
Simon
We have done all of the Microsoft updates, we have reinstalled chrome and adobe acrobat, repaired word, repaired adobe, repaired leap on all 25 of our computers. The syncing issue has improved, but if our WP operator has created the document and sent it to the acting solicitor, sometimes they can open and sometimes they cant. You can imagine our frustrations having to deal with this issue for the last 2 months.
Hope that this now fixes the issue.
