PDF's are not opening

Melanie Thorley (Customer) asked a question.

PDF's are not opening

me and my team are having a lot of problems with PDF's not opening. I click to open, nothing happens, when I try to open again, it says there is aloready one open. when I try to close the matter and open sometimes all the pdf's that I tried to open will all open at once (3-4 of the same document) this is driving me crazy as it is not possible to just ge tthe PDF to open in first instance. Any ideas?????

    Hi Melanie,

I'm sorry to hear you've been having these difficulties.

I would ask that you please contact our Support team regarding this issue via Live Chat or Email (support@leap.com.au). We will then be able to investigate the root cause further with you directly.

    Thanks,

    Simon

We have this issue regularly too, wouldn't love to know the solution!

  • Courtney Fiebig (Customer)

We also regularly have this same problem. Extremely frustrating!

  • Melanie Thorley (Customer)

yes it is.... we do not have an answer yet but we have found that closing LEAP and or PDF works some of the time, and if you are at your wits end then restarting the computer. This is not a fix, it is a workaround and a long way around too.

  • Richen Mojica (Customer)

This has been an ongoing problem with LEAP. We cant open PDFs in LEAP, Outlook and MS Word are crashing all the time. When you ask LEAP to fix it, they just reinstalled LEAP to computers...there is a temporary fix, but the issue keeps on happening again. No real fix was done!

We have wasted so many chargeable hours because of the problem with LEAP and Customer Support's lack of real solutions to these problems. This is very frustrating!!!

yes, don't get me started on the billiable hours. and yes frustrating is most polite word I can say on this point.

I did find that If I opened a PDF from my desktop before I start then I have a better chance of opening them.

Hi Everyone, I also have this issue and have reported it to LEAP Support many times. Unfortunately, my go to is send pdf with via email and instead of emailing it I save it on my desktop and it seems to open on there and only way. Otherwise.. restarting my computer fixes this issue also.

It would be best if you keep emailing support@leap.com.au every time this happens so they have a log off the same issue. If my issue hasn't been rectified I usually send another email every 2 weeks so they don't forget about it and someone is bringing it to their attention multiple times.

This has also been an ongoing issue in my office and same thing. Each time you contact Help they just reinstall LEAP and say it is fixed. No where near fixed. We are also having issues printing which apparently is related to PDF's. I am About ready to throw my computer out the window and cancel my LEAP contract

    • Angela Suckling (Customer)

@Amy Fisher (Customer) Not sure if this is your printing issue, but it might be worth checking that you still have Microsoft Print to PDF installed - there have been Microsoft updates in the last 6 months that have broken that driver. I ran abunch of updates last week andhad to get our IT consultants involved as it made me lose the Print to LEAP feature as well (I believe it utilises the Microsoft Print to PDF, not Acrobat).

The opening PDF issue is such a time waster.

I have had the same problem. However, I have been able to view it using the Preview option at least.
