Zac West (Customer) asked a question.

If two people are working on the same document in a matter and they each save their versions of the document at different times, what happens? Does LEAP update the same document or save 2 different versions of the document?

    Hi @Zac West (Customer),

Thank you for posting on LEAP Community Discussions.

All documents within LEAP have a "History of changes" (See this article about history of changes), If 2 users open a document at the same time this will open the current version for both users (e.g. version 1).

Following this, if User A makes a change to the document and saves the changes, this will be listed as version 2 of the document and considered the current version. When this happens User B will get a message advising "A version of this document has been saved by User A at (date is shown here) (time is shown here)".

When user B dismisses this message the document they were working on will still be displayed as it was prior to the message with any changes user B has made (Note: None of the changes from user A saved document will be merged). At this point, if user B chooses to save the document this will become version 3 of the document and be the current version that will open by default.

LEAP will not update the document to ensure none of the changes made by either user is affected. If you wish to combine the changes from user A & B into a single document this will need to be done manually.

Let us know if you require further assistance.

    Best regards,

    Sebastian.
