How To

Location: LEAP Menu > Reports > Trust > Trust Receipts

Purpose: Provides a central hub for downloading trust receipt slips within a specified date range for selected matter(s).

How to Use the Report:

Specify a date range, select a trust bank account, and choose a mailing option—either Payer (Received From) or All Clients.
Click View to generate a list of matters.
Select the matters for which you want to download receipt slips. Each download includes all trust receipt slips for the selected matter with a Transaction Date within the specified date range.

If a trust receipt is linked to more than one matter, it will appear in the download for each associated matter.

Filters:

Date Range

Displays all trust receipts within the selected date range, based on the Transaction Date of an entry.

Bank Account

The report will display transactions for the selected Trust Bank Account.

For

Select the party the document is generated for (i.e., displayed as the Mail To recipient on the receipt slips).

Options include:

Received From:
Designates the payer of the trust receipt as the Mail To party, with their name and address appearing in the header of each receipt slip for the matter.
All Clients:
Designates all clients of the matter as the Mail To party. When a matter involves multiple clients, the download will include individual slips addressed to each client.

Matter List:

NOTE: To be included in the list, a matter needs to have trust receipted recorded within the specified date range, based on the Transaction Date.

Matter No.	The matter number.
Type	The matter type.
Client Name	The client cards short name attached to the matter.
Responsible	The Staff Responsible on the matter.
Acting	The Staff Acting on the matter.
Status	The matter status.

Trust Receipt Details Included in the Downloaded Documents:

Header	Header includes the following information: Date: Transaction Date of the trust receipt. Date Entered: Entry Date of the the trust receipt. Ref No.: The reference number of the the trust receipt. Mail to party and its address: Determined by your selected For option—either the Received From party (payer) or All Clients. Trust Bank Account information: Includes the Trust Bank Account Name, Bank, BSB No., and Account Number.
Payment Method	Transaction payment method.
Total Amount	The total amount paid in numbers.
Amount in words	The total amount paid in words.
Matter No.	The matter number(s) the payment is applied to.
Client	The matter's client name.
Description	The matter's description.
Reason	Reason for the the trust receipt, based on the input under ‘Reason’ on the transaction window.
Amount	The amount of the trust receipt applied to the matter.
