RapidPay Anticipated Trust Deposits has been renamed to Request Trust Funds.

When you create a Trust Fund Request, you will have the option to select if the request is protected for the ‘Matter Debtor’ or ‘Other/Third Party Payments’.

The Reason entered will be the message the debtor receives with the request. Once you save the request, you can open the request again later and edit the Reason if needed.

When sharing the request, you will have the option to select if ‘anyone with the link can view’ or the debtor must ‘sign-in to view’. You can select if an email notification will be sent with the request. You can also change the message with the request and preview how the request will appear for the debtor with the Web Preview and Email Preview tabs.

If the option for a notification to be sent was ticked, the debtor will receive an email and will have the options to select ‘View this request’.

If the debtor selects ‘View this request’, they will be taken to a LawConnect page with a preview of the request and see the following in the right-hand panel if relevant to the matter:

• Total Balance Due (as at date)

• This request

• Other outstanding invoices

• Outstanding trust requests

The debtor can drop down to view the following additional balance details:

Outstanding Invoices:

• All invoices … (which are hyperlinked to view and pay)

• Interest charges

• Less trust

• Less credits

• Total

Outstanding Trust Requests:

• All trust requests …

• Total

The debtor can also see the following payment options:

• Pay via credit card

  OR

• BPAY with Biller Code and Reference

The debtor can select the Amount dropdown to choose if they are paying for the total amount outstanding for the matter or this request only. The Reference Code for BPAY will change depending on the option selected. The Biller Code will remain the same. For BPAY payments, the biller name will appear as *LawConnect Payments*.

When the Online Invoice is shared with your client, they will receive an email and see the following invoice details you shared in LawConnect:

• Total Balance Due

• This invoice

• Less amount received

• Other outstanding invoices

• Interest charges

• Less funds held in trust

• Less credits

• Requested trust funds

If the debtor has no outstanding invoices, they will have the option to select ‘view this invoice or pay online with your debit or credit card’.

If the debtor has outstanding invoices, they will have the option to select ‘view this invoice and other outstanding balances or pay online with your debit or credit card’.

If your firm is RapidPay enabled, the invoice email will show options to ‘Pay Online’ via RapidPay or pay via BPAY with the Biller Code and Matter Reference.

A PDF version of the Online Invoice will also be attached if the option was ticked when sharing the Online Invoice.

Your client can view the invoice details via LawConnect and pay the bill online via RapidPay.

When your client views their Online Invoice with LawConnect, they will see the following in the invoice panel if relevant to the invoice:

• Total Balance Due (as at date)

• This invoice

• Other outstanding invoices

• Outstanding trust requests

The debtor can drop down to view the following additional balance details:

The debtor can also see the following payment options:

The client can select the Amount dropdown to choose if they are paying for the total amount outstanding or this invoice amount.  The Reference Code for BPAY will change depending on the option selected. The Biller Code will remain the same. For BPAY payments, the biller name will appear as *LawConnect Payments*.

If any changes are made to the accounting side of the matter (for example creating and sharing a Trust Funds Request) the invoice panel will update with these changes. The email will not display these changes as it has already been sent.

If the Invoice shared is a Split Invoice, your debtor(s) will see the total amount displayed as “Your Total Amount” instead of “Balance Due”.

Your client can request further details on this invoice.

Each entry on an invoice will display the Request Further Information button for that time entry.

At any time, shared recipient(s) will have access to download the invoice from LawConnect by clicking Download Statement.

If your firm is RapidPay enabled, your clients will be able to pay the bills you share with them through LawConnect. This will then create a corresponding entry in the LEAP matter when the payment is received.

In the Pay Your Legal Bill window, the invoice amount and number will be automated. Your client can simply add their credit card information and click Pay Securely Now.

When your client pays for their Invoice securely via RapidPay, any receipts will automatically be created against the relevant invoices in LEAP. Any trust receipts will also be recorded and protected for the Matter Debtor or Other/Third Party Payments as selected in the request.

Your client will also receive an email with their LawConnect Payments Receipt including attachments for the office and trust receipts.

The purpose of the Further Information Requests window is to view and respond to all invoice requests from one place.

To access the Further Information Requests window:

1. LEAP Menu
2. Accounting > General > Further Information Requests

The Further Information Requests window will open displaying a list of all the client time entry queries for your firm. The time entry queries will be grouped by Invoice.

Invoice & Matter - This includes invoice date, invoice number, matter number, client name, and matter type.

Time Entry - Requests are grouped by invoice and each invoice should display the time entry request for the relevant staff member.

Due - Number of days the relevant staff member must respond to the request.

Date Requested - The date the recipient of the invoice requested further information on time entries.

Requested By - Full name of the recipient of the invoice that requested further information on time entries.

Assigned To - Blue avatar means the person assigned to send final response. Grey avatar means person assigned to respond to the relevant time entry request.

Comment icon - The comment icon will be displayed if the Response field contains any text.

Once within the request, the Activities list on the right-hand side will assist you with narrating further details regarding the work performed.

You can select any activity on the right to open a preview window for all activities listed.

Once the response is finalised the recipient will receive an email notification. When the invoice is accessed via LawConnect the response will be displayed against the corresponding time entry.

You can select the ellipsis next to Provide Further Information For and choose the following:

Provide Further Information For All: Allows you to send a response to all Request Further Information Items for the Invoice.

Itemise All Activities For All Staff: Allows you to share itemised activities for All Staff.

You can select the ellipsis next to the specific request and ‘Assign To’ another staff member to respond to the request.

If you enter text into a response, but do not send, in the list view the request will be given a ‘Draft’ label.
