New Release: LEAP Productivity and LEAP Accounting

A recent update to LEAP has introduced a new layout where productivity and accounting tools are now available as two separate screens: LEAP Productivity and LEAP Accounting.

You’ll still have access to all the tools you use today just with a clearer separation between where your team works on legal matters and where they manage financial tasks. 

By separating productivity and accounting, you can expect:

  • Faster access to product innovations, with improvements released independently.
  • Reduced disruption during future updates and deployments.
  • Improved system performance and overall stability.
  • Enhanced side-by-side working, ideal for dual-screen setups or multitasking across legal and financial tasks. Disabling separate windows is not available.
  • Greater control over workflow preferences, with default matter view settings for Productivity or Accounting.
  • Faster navigation between tools, with seamless switching from the Matter List.

In addition to these benefits update, this release will also include:

  1. A new default setting that allows matters to open with either LEAP Productivity or LEAP Accounting.

    To set this:

    • On the Matter List page, click the ellipses icon (three dots) in the top-right corner.
    • Hover over "On Double Click".
    • Select either "Open LEAP Productivity" or "Open LEAP Accounting".

    This will set your preferred view for opening matters by default.

  2. On the Matter List, you can right-click to open either Accounting or Productivity directly. When you open one, the other loads silently in the background, so switching between the two will feel instant.

Add LEAP to your Antivirus Exceptions List

Please Add LEAP to your Antivirus Exceptions list to ensure the following paths, along with any other relevant LEAP folders, are included:

C:\Program Files\LEAP Accounting\*
C:\ProgramData\LEAP Accounting\*

Including these paths helps ensure optimal performance and can prevent issues such as:
  • Slow loading of the Accounting tab
  • Freezing or unresponsiveness when opening the Accounting view
  • Delays when switching between Productivity and Accounting
This step is strongly recommended to avoid disruptions and ensure a smooth experience when using LEAP Accounting.
