How To

Location: LEAP Menu > Reports > Matters & Clients > Lease Matters

Purpose: Provides an overview of Lease matters, helping to track key lease details and statuses. The report displays critical information such as matter numbers, client and the other side details, property addresses, lease dates and registration details. It can be used to monitor lease matters based on their status and assigned staff, with options to expand or collapse grouped results for enhanced clarity.

Report Filters:

Matter Status

Filters results to only include matters that fall under any of the selected Matter Status(es).

Staff

Includes the following staff filters to narrow down matters:

Inc. Inactive Staff: Provides an option to either include or exclude Inactive Staff Members from the lists of 'Staff Responsible', 'Staff Acting', 'Staff Assisting' and 'Credit'.

NOTE:

- A Staff member is considered Inactive if their Current Staff Member option is togged off under the Access & Permissions in the Staff Details window (Menu > Settings > Application Settings > Firm > Staff > Members).
- The below four staff lists dynamically update based on the 'Include Inactive Staff' option setting.
Staff Responsible: Filters results to include only matters where the selected staff member(s) are assigned as the Person Responsible. All staff members are included by default.
Staff Acting: Filters results to include only matters where the selected staff member(s) are assigned as the Person Acting. All staff members are included by default.

Display

Includes two display options:

Group By: Offers the following grouping options:

- None: No additional grouping is applied.
- Matter Status
- Staff Responsible
- Staff Acting
Expand: Offers three detail levels:
- No: When set to 'No', the grouped rows remain collapsed, showing only the group headers.
- Group: When set to 'Yes', all grouped rows are expanded, displaying all rows within each group other than rows on lease options.
- Lease Options: Further shows lease options.

Report Fields:

Matter No.	The matter number.
Client	The client on the matter. When the Expand option is set to 'Lease Options', the column also shows the LEAP Options, based on the information entered in the 'Lease Details' (under the 'Head Lease' tab)
Other Side	The Other Side on the matter.
Premises	Property address, based on the information entered in the 'Property' card on the matter table.
Stamped	The 'Stamped date' entered in the 'Lease Details' (under the 'Lease Details' tab)
Date of Lease	The 'Date of lease' entered in the 'Lease Details' (under the 'Lease Details' tab)
Registration	The 'Registration date' entered in the 'Lease Details' (under the 'Lease Details' tab)
