You may see the following error message when trying to assign an appointment to a matter in LEAP. Unable to continue. Please make sure that the user is linked and that you are logged in to LEAP.

This error message appears when the incorrect Microsoft Outlook profile is loaded. Appointments can only be assigned to matters in data files with Enhanced Calendaring enabled, and only when your LEAP user account is linked to your Microsoft 365 account. Follow these steps to confirm:

(Admin) Ensure your firm's Microsoft 365 account is Integrated with LEAP in LEAP Settings > Application Settings > Integrations > Microsoft 365.
(Admin) Confirm your LEAP user account is enabled for Microsoft 365 Enhanced Calendaring in LEAP Settings > Application Settings > Integrations > Microsoft 365.

Your email address must match in both the LEAP Accounts and Microsoft Accounts columns, and the Linked Status column must display a green tick.
Microsoft 365 Enhanced Calendaring requires your default Outlook email profile and default data file to correspond with your email account in LEAP.

To verify email and data file account settings:
- Open Outlook and go to File > Info > click on Account Settings > Account Settings.
- This will launch the Account Settings window. Verify that the email address listed on both the Email tab and the Data Files tab matches the email address you use to sign into LEAP.
- Ensure that the email address has a tick next to it.

WARNING: This action unlinks the integration for the entire firm. Proceed only if you have the Microsoft Administrator account credentials.

(Admin) Revoke and Re-link Microsoft 365 Enhanced Calendaring from LEAP Desktop and re-link it to see if that resolves the issue.
The resolution for this error is to ensure that both your LEAP account and Microsoft Outlook profile are properly configured. Your Microsoft 365 account must be the default email account and data store in your Outlook profile.
