By Lawyers - Searching and Browsing Your Legal Guides

You can search and browse for precedents and commentaries within By Lawyers Legal Guides.

The search is based on the precedent name and/or the name and content of commentary topics within a selected guide.

Search for Precedents and Commentaries

 

  1. Open a matter.

  2. Click Forms & Precedents on the toolbar while within the Details & Correspondence tab.

  3. Click the Legal Guides tab.

    The By Lawyers Matter Plan will display in the window:

  4. The search bar appears on the right side of the window.

  5. Select whether you'd like to search All By Lawyers information or narrow the search.

  6. Enter your search criteria in the Search field.

Browse for Precedents and Commentaries

 

  1. Open a matter.

  2. Click Forms & Precedents on the toolbar while within the Details & Correspondence tab.

  3. Click the Legal Guides tab.

    You can also preview suggested Commentaries from the Browse tab while inside an area of law on the right pane. To enlarge the preview, click .

  4. Publications for related areas of law can be easily selected from the Related Guides section. For example, if working in a Sale of Real Property matter, clicking the Related Guides side bar provides instant access to the matter plans for Purchase of Real Property, Retirement Villages and the more detailed reference manual; 1001 Conveyancing answers.

  5. The Browse More Guides button allows you to choose guides from all other areas of law.

  6. Select the appropriate State from the drop down.

  7. Click arrow next to an area of law to expand and then select a matter type.

Search for Precedents and Commentaries

 

  1. Open a matter.

  2. Make sure you're on the Details & Correspondence tab.

  3. Click Forms & Precedents.

    The Forms & Precedents will open in a new window.

  4. Click the Legal Guides tab.

  5. The search bar appears on the right side of the window.

  6. Select whether you'd like to search All By Lawyers information or narrow the search.

  7. Enter your search criteria in the Search field.

Browse for Precedents and Commentaries

 

  1. Open a matter.

  2. Make sure you're on the Details & Correspondence tab.

  3. Click Forms & Precedents.

    The Forms & Precedents will open in a new window.

  4. Click the Legal Guides tab.

  6. The Browse More Guides button allows you to choose guides from all other areas of law.

  7. Select the appropriate Country from the drop down.

  8. Click  next to an area of law to expand and then select a matter type.

Search for Precedents and Commentaries

 

  1. Open a matter.

  2. Make sure you are on the Correspondence tab.

  3. Tap the iPhone Add Icon.png icon and tap Guides & Precedents.

    The Guides & Precedents screen will open.

  4. Tap Integrated Guide to the right of the Guides & Precedents tab.

  5. The search bar appears at the top of the matter plan.

  6. Enter your search criteria in the Search field.

Browse for Precedents and Commentaries

 

  1. Open a matter.
