Recording a New Voice Memo in LEAP Mobile

Learn how to record and manage Voice Memos in LEAP Mobile on iPhone, iPad, or Android with the option to add a widget for quick access on your iPhone home screen.

Open the matter.
Swipe to or tap the Correspondence tab.
Tap the plus button > New Voice Memo.

A 3-second timer will countdown before it starts recording.

You can also tap the microphone button on the Home screen.

As you record the Voice Memo, LEAP will begin the live transcription in real-time.

This feature is currently only available on iOS devices.

A preview of the transcript will appear on the screen as you record.
Swipe down to minimise and continue recording in the background.
When you're finished and want to stop recording, tap the red banner at the top of the screen.
Tapthe red stop button to stop recording.
Tapthe playback button to playback the Voice Memo.

Tap the transcript preview to expand the full view.

You can also Discard the Voice Memo or continue recording by tapping the red microphone button.

Rename the Voice Memo or change the Matter Number, if required.
Tap Save and you will be presented with 3 options for saving:
- Transcript: Saves a transcript of the memo only.
- Voice: Saves the voice recording of the memo only.
- Voice & Transcript: Saves the voice recording and transcript of the memo.
The Voice Memo will be recorded in the matter under the Correspondence tab.

The transcript of the Voice Memo will be saved as a new comment on the matter with the same name.

You can add a widget to your iPhone home screen to easily access the Voice Memo feature. For instructions on adding LEAP Widgets, please click here.

Tap to stop the recording.
Options on the screen will include:
- - Cancel
- - Rename
- - Playback
- - Delete recording
- - Resume
- - Save recording
Tap Save to save the recorded Voice Memo to the matter under the Correspondence tab.
