RapidPay BPAY and Credit Card transactions are disbursed to your account the business day after your client makes payment. For example, if your client makes payment on a Monday, the funds will be disbursed to your account on Tuesday. This is because RapidPay is a wholesale provider of banking services and must first reconcile and then disburse allocated funds to you.

When a payment is made via RapidPay, on the following business day the relevant contact of your firm will receive an email notifying you of the amount, settlement date, and LEAP transaction information (for example Matter and Invoice number). The Payments Early Advice email will be sent to the registered email held with RapidPay, or alternatively if an email address is registered for Payment Notifications it will default to this. In order to update the recipient address or add multiple recipients, your settings can be updated by completing the following steps in LEAP:

Once the funds have been disbursed to your office account, RapidPay will automatically create a corresponding office receipt against the relevant matter in LEAP.

You'll be able to view the receipts by selecting it from an open matter, Office Accounting > Office Payments & Debtors. The receipt will also be emailed to the relevant person recorded within the matter.

Alternatively, you can view the RapidPay - Reports.

Once the funds have been disbursed to your trust account, RapidPay will automatically create a corresponding trust receipt against the relevant matter in LEAP.

You'll be able to view the receipts by selecting it from an open matter, Trust Funds > General Trust. The receipt will also be emailed to the relevant person recorded within the matter.

Alternatively, you can view the RapidPay - Reports.

RapidPay funds will be settled into the nominated bank account as a bulk settlement.

For example, if there were 3 credit card transactions of $100.00 each, a bulk settlement of $300.00 would be deposited into the nominated bank account.

The description on the bank statement would be RapidPay - date - $300.00.

On the same day that transactions are settled into the nominated bank account, LEAP will automatically create a corresponding bank deposit (office or trust as the case may be) for the aggregate settlement amount.

If a RapidPay bank deposit requires further investigation, double-click the entry to itemise the aggregate amount.
