Date Range

Select the 'Start and End Date' to define the reporting period. This filters the results to include only matters created within the selected time frame.

NOTE: The creation date of a matter corresponds to its 'Instruction date', which is set under the Calendar & Tasks tab on the matter.

Matter Status

Select the desired matter status(es) from the 'Matter Status' drop-down list to refine the report based on the status of matters.

NOTE: In the event of any archived matter created within this period, you have the option to exclude them from the report by deselecting 'Archived' from the drop-down list.

Expand Row Groups

Select either 'Yes' or 'No' for the 'Expand' option to adjust the level of detail in the 'Breakdown of Matter Types' section of the report. 

This section illustrates the percentage distribution of matter types:

• The percentage figure is calculated by comparing the number of matters created under the matter type to the total number of matters created during the specified period.
• The results are limited to those falling within the selected matter status(es).
• Up to 50 matter types to be displayed. 

This section provides a breakdown of matter number by Staff Responsible. It displays and compares the number of matters opened by each relevant Staff Responsible. 

This section provides either a summary or a detailed overview of matters included in the report: 

• Summary (Expand set to 'No'): The section displays the number of matters within each matter type and the percentage of each matter type in terms of matter number. 
• Detailed (Expand set to 'Yes'): The section further provides a breakdown of matters under each matter type, with the following matter details: 

- Matter No: Matter number.

- Client: Client cards.

- State: Matter state.

- Matter Status: The matter's status.

- Staff Responsible: Person responsible on the matter. 

- Staff Acting: Person acting on the matter.
