This process will remove any stored credentials, access rights and previously stored tokens from the Alexa database.

New fee: 

• Creates a new fee entry in a matter.

New time entry:

• Creates a new time entry (by units or minutes/hours are supported) in a matter.

New cost recovery:

• Creates a new cost recovery in a matter.

Update the default billing description:

• LEAP Assistant has a default billing description, set to "Fee from LEAP Assistant", which saves you time when creating a new fee, time entry or cost recovery. Should the need arise, this can be changed in two ways;
  • Using the skill to set the new default value:
    • "Alexa, open LEAP" → "Update billing description to ___"
  • Provide a billing description on each action being performed.

Installation

Once you have your Alexa device plugged in and ready to use;

• Simply open your mobile/device where your Alexa is connected and browse to the Alexa Skills to search for the "LEAP Assistant" skill.
• Click to install → this should prompt you to login to the new skill → use your current LEAP login credentials to login and verify access.

NOTE: This will only be required once (or until these details change).

Examples

The simplest and most accurate way to interact with your Alexa device is through a "conversation". This means you initiate the Alexa wake word ("Alexa, open LEAP"), then proceed to give instructions.

To start a conversation with LEAP Assistant you can say;

• "Alexa, open LEAP"

Alexa should respond with "Welcome to LEAP, how can I help?"

You can now do the following:

New fee

1. "Create a new fee for one hundred dollars"
2. "Create a new fee of one hundred dollars, for matter number 171"
3. "Create a new fee of one hundred dollars, for matter number 171 with description, email to client"

New time entry (units)

1. "Create a new time entry"
2. "Create a new time entry for 3 units"
3. "Create a new time entry for 3 units on matter 171"
4. "Create a new time entry for 3 units, on matter 171, with description, initial consultation"

New time entry (minutes and hours)

1. "Create a new time entry for 12 minutes"
2. "Create a new time entry for 18 minutes, on matter 171"

New cost recovery

1. "Create a new cost recovery for one hundred dollars"
2. "Create a new cost recovery of one hundred dollars, for matter number 171"
3. "Create a new cost recovery of one hundred dollars, for matter number 171 with description, photocopies"

Alexa learns and grows with you and your voice. The above examples are only some of the supported instructions. Over time, as your Alexa device learns about you and vice versa, you will discover there are many ways to achieve the desired functionality.

LEAP Assistant also supports single phrase, meaning the above examples can all be used outside of a "conversation".

For example, you could use any example above in one sentence;
