How to Receipt the Movement of Funds After Closing Your Controlled Money Account

If you have closed your Controlled Money Account at the bank, you will need to ensure that you record any final transactions and then close off the account in LEAP. Please see below for the steps on this process.

  1. From LEAP Accounting, click the Trust Funds tab > Controlled Money/Investments tab

  2. Click New Transaction to record the withdrawal of the current balance before closing the account. For detailed instructions on closing the Controlled Money Account, please click here.

  3. If you have deposited the funds into your General Trust Account, make sure to also record the deposit (trust receipt) within the General Trust tab.
