Displays featured transactions that occurred within the defined date range. 

NOTE: The date range should be less then one year. 

Only include matters assigned to the selected Reporting Group(s).

NOTE: 

• You can Select all or choose certain Reporting Group(s).  
• Matters that have not been assigned to any Reporting Group are placed within 'unassigned'. 
• Refer to this article for instructions on Reporting Groups (under 'Reporting Groups').

Includes three options: 

1. Inc. Inactive Staff:

Provides an option to either include or exclude Inactive Staff Members from the Staff list. 

NOTE: 

• A Staff member is considered Inactive if their Current Staff Member option is togged off under the Access & Permissions in the Staff Details window (Menu > Settings > Application Settings > Firm > Staff > Members). 
  • If you suspect missing entries for a particular staff member in the generated report, switch the Inc Inactive Staff filter to Yes (if it was previously set to No), and then regenerate the report. This can prevent unintentional omissions caused by changes in Staff settings. 

2. Attribute Work to:

Calculates and displays figures against:

• Staff Responsible: The Person Responsible on the matter.
• Staff Acting: The Person Acting on the matter.
• Staff Assisting: The Person Assisting on the matter. 
• Credit: The Credit on the Matter.
• Staff: The staff member who directly contributed to the professional fees (Contributor). 

NOTE: A staff member becomes a Contributor by:

• Their name being selected for the Time or Fee entries, or
• Fee reallocation to them on a finalised invoice, with the reallocated amount captured within the 'Invoice Adj. Notes' column. 

3. Staff:

Provides a drop-down list to select staff member(s) to choose from. 

NOTE: When you change the selection for Inc Inactive Staff (from Yes to No or vice versa), the Staff dropdown list will be updated accordingly. 

NOTE: 

The Attribute Work to and Staff filters collaborate to narrow down entries associated with the selected Staff member(s). 

The interaction between the two filters is as follows: 

• If you attribute work to 'Staff Responsible', 'Staff Acting', 'Staff Assisting' or 'Credit' and select Staff A from the 'Staff' drop-down list, the report will specifically show entries created only on matters where Staff A assumes the selected role. 
• If you attribute work to 'Staff' and select Staff A from the 'Staff' drop-down list, the report will display all entries for which Staff A is the Fee Earner.

Consists of two filters:

1. Expand Row Groups:

• Yes: With this option, all row groups will be expanded, giving the full details, including the Matter No. and Client associated with the relevant invoice.
• No: With this option, the Matter No. and Client associated with the relevant invoice are not displayed.

2. Group By:

Offers the following grouping options:

• None: No additional grouping is applied. However, default grouping may still occur based on the selected work attribution:
  • If Attribute Work to is set to Staff Responsible, Staff Acting, Staff Assisting or Credit (rather than Staff), the report will automatically group the results by the selected Staff type. When fully expanded, it will provide a Contributor breakdown under the grouping Staff member and further a matter breakdown under each Contributor, as shown below.
  • If Attribute Work to is set to Staff, no default grouping is applied. The report will list individual Contributors and provide a matter breakdown under each Contributor.

• Reporting Group: Applies higher-level grouping by Reporting Group.
