Creating an Invoice Advanced

The Invoice Advanced options lets you choose which billable transaction types to include, set billing period and set a fixed fee amount before creating an invoice.

  1. Open the matter.

  2. Click LEAP Accounting. 

    LEAP Accounting will open in a new window.

  3. Click the Office Accounting > Payments & Debtors tabs.

  4. Click the dropdown next to New Invoice > New Invoice Advanced on the toolbar.

  5. You can include or exclude Billable Transaction Types from the invoice by ticking or unticking the following checkboxes:

    • Time and Fees
    • Anticipated Payments
    • Cost Recoveries
    • Disbursement Journals
    • Office Payments

    This process is also useful in creating disbursement-only invoices.

  6. Include only entries from a specific Billing Period by changing the At Date.

  7. Tick the Fixed Fee checkbox and enter an amount. Disbursements will remain the same. The Time/Fee amounts will be adjusted accordingly to create the invoice total inclusive of disbursements to the set amount (Fixed Fee = Fees + Disbursements).

  8. Click OK.
