Our New Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) Matter Type in LEAP
We are thrilled to announce an important update within the Personal Injury vertical at LEAP. We have now integrated the new and comprehensively updated matter type specifically for Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) claims.
What is the TPD Claim Matter Type?
A TPD claim is a complex legal process that allows individuals who can no longer work due to injury or illness to claim a lump sum payment from their superannuation fund. Handling these claims requires meticulous attention to detail, retrieval of documents and reports and strict adherence to appeal deadlines. The new LEAP matter type for a TPD Claim is a specialised digital file designed to manage every stage of the process with greater precision and efficiency than before.
Important: Please Use This New Matter Type for All TPD Claims
To ensure we are providing the most effective service, we ask your firm to note that this new, specialised TPD matter type should be used for all new TPD claims going forward.
Previously, firms may have used the more general 'Insurance Law', 'Disability Law' or ‘Personal Injury General Advice’ matter types for these claims. The new TPD matter type is purpose-built to come with tailored workflows, specific data fields, and automated documents that the general matter types lack. Using the correct matter type from the start is crucial for the streamlined management of your clients claim.
What’s New to Come? Key Benefits for Your Matter
This update will include more than just a new folder on our system; it's a significant step up to how you manage your client’s TPD claim. Here’s what the new matter type allows us to do:
