We are always looking for ways to make the content in LEAP more user-friendly.We have just released the first stage of a project to tag (with prefix and suffix) the many Fields and Calculations in LEAP so you can easily identify them. The first stage of Field and Calculation tags is relative to all Card types. Therefore, all Card Fields and Calculations will now contain a prefix and suffix where relevant. Below is a list of standard prefixes [always in square brackets] and suffixes (always in parenthesis) that tag field names:

PREFIX TAG	FIELD EXAMPLE	PURPOSE
[Address]	Postal Address	Items on the Address table or items which calculate directly from it relevant to Address
[Calc]	Age	Represents any JavaScript calculation that does not fall under another category or which is the output of a mathematical formula or logic operation and is reliant on completion of other fields in LEAP matter
[Card]	Card Type	Items on the Card table or items which calculate directly from it and which an end user would assume is not a calculated field
[DX]	Suburb	Items on the Card table or items which calculate directly from it relevant to DX
[Email]	Electronic service	Items on the Card table or items which calculate directly from it relevant to Email
[Execution]	Signature - corporation	Execution prefix for execution clause calculations
[Fax]	Fax Number	Items on the Card table or items which calculate directly from it relevant to Fax
[Grammar]	I am/We are	Calculations that populate the correct grammar or word choice into forms based on context
[Matter]	Date of service	Items on the Matter table or items which calculate directly from matter completion
[Name]	Full name & address	Items on the Card table or items which calculate directly from it relevant to Name
[Organisation]	Trading Name	Items specifically used when the Card type is Company, Business, etc
[People]	Salutation	Items on the Person table or items which calculate directly from it and which end user would assume is not a calculated field
[Phone]	Work Phone	Items on the Card table or items which calculate directly from it relevant to Phone
[PO Box]	PO Box	Items on the Address table that relate to the PO Box address or items which calculate directly from these
[Registered Office]	Suburb	Items on the Card table or items which calculate from it specifically used when the Card type is Company, Business, etc
[Re lines]	Court display	Calculations that populate the matter type re lines
[Web]	Page location	Items on the Card table or items which calculate directly from it relevant to Web address
SUFFIX TAG	EXAMPLE	PURPOSE
(across)	[Names] Full name & address (across)	Appended to items which automate data without line breaks
(down)	[Names] Full name & address (down)	Appended to items which automate data with line breaks
(calc)		Appended to items which may be calculations but the appropriate prefix is another tag i.e. Name
(hard return)	[Address] Postal (hard return)	Appended to items which populate data with hard return line breaks
(multi)	[Calc] Full legal description (multi)	Appended at the end of any calculation which applies to multiple cards (if this prefix is not present, assume the item only applies to a single card)
CAPS	[Names] FULL NAME & address	Items displaying in caps automate in CAPS in Word

As Fields and Calculations appear in alphabetical order, it will be much easier to locate Fields and Calculations and the process of automating your firm's own precedents will be much simpler. We will be continuing the second stage of our project to tag the remaining Fields and Calculations not on Card.
