Legal Rates - FED - Immigration: Temporary and Permanent Visas

In response to client feedback and to provide greater enhancements for our clients practising in immigration law, we have included immigration specific legal rates - specifically, fees for temporary and permanent visas. For ease of use, these fees can be found within the Legal Rates section in Menu > Others > Legal Rates - FED: We have added the list of fees to 2 new tabs Temporary Visas and Permanent Visas as follows:
  • Temporary Visas tab includes Temporary Visa application base charges and second instalment charges
  • Permanent Visas tab includes Permanent Visa application base charges and second instalment charges
The list of Visa fees have been added in consideration of the more common visa applications and matters that practitioner are regularly engaged to assist with. The layout has also been kept simple to the base application charge for the Primary Applicant of the relevant Visa and where relevant, details of the 2nd instalment* (NB: Practitioners should always check the circumstances of their clients to ensure whether any other applicable fees are applicable) *For some of the Permanent Visas, the 2nd instalment fee will only be applicable to the Secondary applicant who did not meet the relevant English language requirements **In accordance to the Migration Regulations 1994, whilst there is no base application charge for the 820 Partner and 309 Partner (Provisional) visa these Temporary visas are lodged concurrently with the Permanent visa component - the fees for the corresponding 801 Partner and 100 Partner visas are listed in the Visa 2 tab Inserting fields With the addition of these Legal Rates, these new fields can be added to any custom precedents and letters - to insert these fields:
  • Go to the LEAP ribbon located at the top of any document opened in LEAP
  • Editing > Insert Legacy Fields > Legal Rates - FED > search for "Visa" and the list of the newly added fields will display
Further details on how to insert fields into documents/precedents can be found in this article. For reference on how to best use your immigration law matters in LEAP, please refer to our matter information sheet on LEAP Community. Feedback can be provided on these enhancements here.
