NSW - NCAT new matter types by Divisions

Following client feedback requests, we have rewritten the NCAT matter type which has been split into five matter types based on Divisions of NCAT. The new matter types are:
  • Administrative and Equal Opportunity Division
  • Consumer and Commercial Division
  • Guardianship Division
  • Occupation Division
  • Internal Appeals
Splitting the matter type by Division ensures matter specific information is completed thereby providing easier usability and ensuring the necessary information per matter type is completed. The default table types for each matter type have therefore been set accordingly as follows: The following Other possible table types have been created which you can add to your matter when relevant through edit table types:
  • Joined Party
  • Joined Party's solicitor
The Tribunal no. table has been amended to include the following additional fields:
  • Guardianship Div No.
  • Appeal Panel File No.
  • Previous NCAT File Nos.
  • Directions Details
  • Mediation Details
The Admin Tribunal forms table has been amended to include a separate tab for matter specific fields required for form automation.   The Decisions/Hearings details tab has been updated and should be completed for all matter types as it now contains matter fields for Decision, Mediation and Hearing information relevant to all five matter types. The Administrative Div/Occupational Div tab, Consumer Div tab, and Guardianship Div tab, should be completed in full depending on the matter type selected. TheAppeal paneltab can be completed in relation to leave to appeal and extension of time. The following Critical Date scheme has been applied to all matter types:
  • Application Date
  • Date of Service
  • Reply Date
  • Directions Date
  • Mediation Date
  • Conciliation Date
  • Summons Return Date
  • Hearing Date
  • Date of Decision
