Vic - Transfer of Land - T2 - How to use this document correctly.

We have had some helpdesk calls regarding there being no headers/ footers on the T2 Transfer of Land (LL-VIC-LTO-055). The T2 Transfer of Land in LEAP is correct. The LEAP T2 Transfer is the same as the pre-printed two page document that you can purchase. If your Transfer is longer than two pages the LEAP form then attaches Annexure pages for page 3 and any subsequent pages. We note that the T2 Transfer on the DSE's website allows the form to grow without Annexure pages however, we have been advised by the DSE that this is a mistake and we are not allowed to replicate this. As the DSE won't allow the LEAP form to "grow" the form is created in tables to ensure that the sections of the document that are required by the DSE tobe a certain size do not change. As there are many forms in LEAP that use tables we suggest that you always work with your grid lines showing.
  • In Word 2003 you can turn on your grid lines by clicking on the Table Menu and clicking on Show Gridlines.
  • In Word 2007 and 2010 click in a Table and go to the Layout Tab, click on View Gridlines.
Now that you have your grid lines showing you will see the cells in the tables used to create the T2 Transfer. We have had to insert hidden text at the top of the document regarding Approval numbers however, this causes the Cell (Creation of Easement)at the bottom of page 1 to move to the next page and then throws out the subsequent headers and footers. If you print the document OR use print preview you will see that the hidden text does not print and the Cell will have moved backto page one. To make the document easier to use and to keep the text box on the first page, we suggest thatwhen you run the document you delete the hidden text at the top of page 1. Please note that if you have multiple titles, Transferors or Transferees, this may also move the bottom cell on to the next page so you may need to change the font size to ensure that the Creation of Easement cell stays on page 1. As the cell is not allowed to grow, youneed to type or copy and paste the first part of your easement into the cell on the bottom of page one until that cell is filled. T2 Screenshot 2 Click on picture to enlarge If your easement is longer than will fit into the cells on pages 1 and 2 go to the bottom of page 2 (after the sealing clauses) and insert a page break. This will bring up an Annexure page which will allow you to keep typing or inserting your easement. Please note that with the Annexure Page, as you continue to type the next Annexure Page will be created. Your completed document should look like this:- T2 screenshot 3 Click on picture to enlarge
