VIC - Contract of Sale of Land - Sale of Land Act
An article was published in the August edition of the Law Institute of Victoria Journal entitled 'Legislative Changes Land Greater Purchaser Protection' stating that changes to the Sale of Land Act would affect any Contracts of Sale signed on or after 30 June 2012.
However at this stage the Victorian Contract of Sale of Land has not had any wording changes. We have contacted the Law Institute of Victoria and they have confirmed that at this stage there are no changes required to the Contract of Sale of Land.
We have also been in touch with our Conveyancing Consultant who has confirmed that the changes noted in the article have not as yet come into effect and he is not sure if they ever will. We will keep you posted and of course update the Contract of Sale of Land if and when there are required changes.
