Does a 'Search in Document Content' pick up information / words / phrases in comments on matters?

  • Simon Jack (LEAP)

    Hi Madeleine,

Thanks for your query. When using the 'Search all Correspondence' feature available through the Main Menu of LEAP, this does not search comments. This searches our Documents server for all Word, Excel, Outlook or PDF items that contain the subject of your search.

When searching within a matter, the content of a comment is searched using the Search bar within the matter.

I hope this answers your question.

    Kind Regards,

    Simon

      Hi Jack

Thanks for getting back to me.

I just tested the searching function within the Leap matter.

Phrases within comments do not show up when completed a standard search correspondence, or search in document content.

      Do you have an alternative?

      Kind Regards,

      Madeleine Lee | Associate

You can use the "Conflict Check" functionality in Leap and that will cover the contents of Comments as well.
