Has anyone found a way to show a file name on a page without it incrementing each time the file is opened?

Shona Charleston (Customer) asked a question.

Has anyone found a way to show a file name on a page without it incrementing each time the file is opened?

I have inserted the file name in a footer. Each time I open the document, the document has _1, then _2 then _3 and so on.

I don't want that to show. Just the name that I have saved it as i.e. Will v2

LEAP itself doesn't have a field for filename so this is a MS Word field which has to be refreshed as well.

Any tips would be appreciated.

:)

    Hi Shona,

    Thanks for your query.

I would ask that you please contact our Support team regarding this issue via Live Chat or Email (support@leap.com.au). We will then be able to investigate the root cause further with you directly.

    Thanks,

    Simon

Thanks Simon. I have already spoken to the support team who advised me that there isn't a LEAP field that would insert the document name and the MS Word field can't be manipulated to not show the extra numbers at the end without clicking on the footer - F9 refreshing then manually adjusting.
