Why is Leap "Applying Letter Container" to letter templates - which appears to cause the letter to not populate the Card Details (Name, Address or Dear fields)??

Recently when I try to create a letter from a precedent it is not pulling in the card details. When I look at the History of Changes to the precedent letter it is updated at the time that I just opened it saying the precedent change is "Applying Letter Container". If I set the previous version as the current template the same thing just happens next time I open it.

I have tried searching Leap and cannot find any reference to what a Letter Container is so I can't work out how to correct the error.

It is a complete pain to have to type in the name and address for every letter I create.

I am having the same issues with a template letter, it doesn't pull in the Dear ... field as it used to. Guessing the merge field has changed?

Hello Renee, as Kristin suggested perhaps the merge field did change. If you log a Helpdesk call the team can take a look.
