Why does the system mark the matter as complete on the completion date?

This is a recent change and there is no reason for the change. The matter is not complete on the completion date. It is not complete until the final correspondence has gone out to the client. Please change this back so that we are not having matters mark themselves as complete before they are completed.

Totally agree, it's frustrating when you're looking for a current matter and it's now 'gray' as it's passed a date and automatically thinks it's complete.

Hello Murray, great to hear from you. Thank you for posting up your experience with this change - we will review same.

The simple solution would be to give every matter type a completion date that the user can fill in rather than locking the completion of the matter to some arbitrary date in the Critical Dates and Calendar Items that may and usually does bear little resemblance to the date that the matter is actually completed.
