Viewing only is not helpful. Clients often have to send those documents elsewhere, or might want to save them to their own computers.
Sending as an email attachment isn't always an option, for example when the attachment is too big for an email server to accept.

I agree entirely with this comment - it is ridiculous that the recipient cant download (like in Dropbox or any other sharing platform). We receive telephone calls all the time from recipients asking "How do I download?"
I agree. Does anyone have a solution for this? I'm not sure what the point of view only is.
Hi guys, you just need to press under Access: "anyone with link can view". So then they will be able to open and download the file.
I am aware of that function but it doesn't allow the recipient to download it when the access the file (without logging in). It simply allows them to view it, which is the whole problem - view not download.
I've just had a client complain about just this!
