If you are on the Details & Correspondence tab, you can click on 'Created' and it will then sort by date (most recent first, or earliest first). You can set it to sort by Created date or Modified date by clicking on the three dots to the right of 'Created' and it will switch between the two. Does that do what you mean?
If you click on the "Matter" folder, under the correspondence section, in the search field enter ' / ' it will bring up all correspondence in date order. This is helpful when you have several folders and you are wanting to read a file in full.
