Good Morning,
For our costs agreement and disc notices we have the options in them for single / plural use. E.g I/We agree to the terms and conditions etc.

To save time could I duplicate the precedent and then make the edits for I/we so then when making them re-label - singular or multiple clients so then every time I open a new matter I don't have to edit these sections.

Does anyone else do this? Have I got the right idea of what to do?

Thanks :-)

    Hi @assistant conveyancing (Customer),

Thank you for posting on LEAP Community Discussions.

You can duplicate precedent(s) and make changes to suit your need.

To duplicate them, simply follow the below steps:

    1. From your matter, open Guides & Precedents
    2. Find the relevant precedent
    3. Right-click on that precedent and select "Duplicate Precedent"

The duplicated copy should appear with " - copy" as a suffix - you can choose to rename the file by right-click and select "Rename"

we created a recurring matter (conveancing, wills, family law) in leap and put out cost agreement and any other documents that we use for each of the files in there so we don't have to go and find each time. They sit there as pending until you go in and finalise. On our CA we have I/we and we just highlight anything in yellow that may need changing each time we prepare them.

    • Thanks, I haven't set up recurring matters yet for conveyancing, but well keen to do so. We have the highlighted sections too, but i was thinking of duplicating the precedent for a singular client or multiple..
